NANOPARTICLE SYNTHESIS
PROJECT REFLECTION
Lessons Learned
While participating in chemistry research I was able to get hands on experience in real world applications.  It is also a good indicator of what chemistry graduate programs will be like. After spending many hours of research I have learned more about general principles such as Oswald ripening and particle in a box.  I also had the opportunity to use optical instrumentation to observe the nanoparticles such as Agilent UV-vis Spectrophotometer and the PTI spectrofluorimeter.  I also gained skills in presenting chemical research at regional conference. Although it doesn’t seem like much, it is very different from presenting in a classroom to a professor and students
